Ombudsman for Estate Agents Scheme

Parsons Son & Basley have chosen to join the Ombudsman scheme to offer everyone buying or selling through us the highest standards of professional service offering a good code of practise. The Ombudsman for Estate Agents (OEA) Scheme provides an independent service for dealing with disputes between Member Agencies and customers who are buying or selling property in the U.K. As a member Parsons Son & Basley agree to abide by a Code of Practise set down by OEA within which members must operate and sets the standard of service they should provide. If a complaint cannot be settled under our own internal complaints procedure, we agree to co-operate with the Ombudsman and to abide by any decisions that the Ombudsman comes to. The OEA Code of Practise has been drafted to ensure that estate agents both always operate in the best interests of sellers as their clients, as required by law, and treat fairly and reasonably all potential buyers of a property
