This service is provided mainly to assist with placing appropriate levels of insurance cover for a property. The work involves measuring the buildings, including outbuildings, grounds and boundaries, car parks and service areas. Our surveyor will then calculate the cost of reconstruction in the event of a fire or similar event, giving rise to the partial or total loss of the structure.

The calculation needs to allow for a number of hidden costs, such as demolition and site clearance, consultants fees and VAT (where applicable).

Our calculations are based on the latest information available to us from various sources, including the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
